Ancient City Book II: Alternative Energy Proposal

CORRUPTION ENERGY APPLICATION REPORT Light Energy remains the foundation of nearly every advanced Cowdonia system. It is powerful, clean, and increasingly difficult to acquire.

Corruption may provide an alternative. The growth stores energy from deceased organisms and redistributes it through connected veins. Even small samples retain a measurable charge.

Unlike Light Energy, Corruption does not require crystals, temples, or specialized harvesting equipment to reproduce. It only requires material to consume. Given enough time, it produces itself.

Current extraction methods remain crude and unstable. Most energy is lost before it can be transferred into a usable storage system. However, the amount trapped beneath this city is immense.

With sufficient control, Corruption could replace Light Energy altogether. It could power vehicles, facilities, weapons, and communication systems. All from a source capable of sustaining itself.

There are objections. The growth reacts poorly to containment. Several researchers report hearing sounds from sealed sample chambers. These concerns do not outweigh its potential.

RECOMMENDATION: Expand experimentation. Increase living test matter. Continue excavation beneath the central structure. Cowdonia cannot abandon a resource of this scale.
