Treat every member with respect
Harassment, targeted abuse, discrimination, hate speech, threats, doxxing, or attempts to make another member feel unsafe are not tolerated.
Field manual · Current protocol
Clear expectations protect the world, its history, and the real people behind every nation and Settler.
Play in good faith. Respect consent, preserve the integrity of the world, and remember that every character is controlled by a real person.
Protect the people behind the characters and keep every Frontier space safe to participate in.
Harassment, targeted abuse, discrimination, hate speech, threats, doxxing, or attempts to make another member feel unsafe are not tolerated.
Do not use technicalities, roleplay, politics, or ‘it is only a game’ as cover for conduct whose real purpose is to upset, isolate, or drive away another player.
Do not turn disagreements into public pile-ons. Save evidence, step away from the situation, and bring the issue to the staff team for review.
Repeated messages, disruptive tagging, excessive noise, malicious links, and intentionally derailing channels are prohibited.
You may share your own YouTube videos, streams, and Frontier-related content. Advertising other Minecraft servers or unrelated Discord servers is not allowed.
If information or power is unavailable through intended play, a client or exploit cannot supply it for you.
X-ray, combat cheats, movement cheats, automation that plays for you, unauthorized item duplication, and other tools that provide abilities unavailable through normal play are prohibited.
Using freecam to look through terrain, structures, containers, hidden rooms, or other obstructions is banned. It cannot be used to locate bases, loot, caves, players, or secrets.
If you discover a bug, duplication method, unintended recipe, or permission issue, stop using it and report it privately. Do not reproduce it beyond what is necessary to document the problem.
String dupe machines and farms that rely on the duplication exploit are not allowed, regardless of scale or purpose.
The Frontier runs on Fabric 1.20.1. Players must use the current required modpack additions. The official resource pack is optional but strongly recommended.
Distance, ownership, and the survival of player-built history only matter when claims are understandable and respected.
Do not destroy, deface, burn, trap, or erase another player’s work without a legitimate rule-supported conflict context. Random destruction is not storytelling.
Clearly marked national, settlement, faction, company, or approved personal territory is protected. Entering it does not grant permission to take blocks, crops, animals, or stored items.
Land and property left unmarked may be treated as unclaimed or lootable. Make boundaries and ownership clear in the world and complete the appropriate form when formal recognition is required.
If a base, settlement, or claim appears inactive, ask staff before dismantling or absorbing it. Inactivity alone does not transfer ownership.
Do not dismantle, relocate, or permanently alter Cowdonia facilities, temples, ruins, event locations, or other marked story sites unless an event or staff ruling explicitly allows it.
Useful production is welcome when it remains proportionate, concealed, and healthy for the shared server.
Do not build or operate iron farms or raid farms. Existing prohibited farms may be removed by staff.
Industrial-scale farms that create excessive entities, drops, redstone updates, loaded chunks, or server strain are not allowed. Ask before building anything whose output or footprint is unusually large.
Reasonably sized farms for resources such as sugar cane and bamboo are permitted when they follow the coverage and performance rules.
Allowed farms must be integrated into the world and fully concealed by a building, wall, floor, mountain, terrain, or foliage. Exposed technical machinery is not permitted.
Staff may require changes to farms, machines, entity collections, chunk loaders, or builds that harm performance, even when the original design was not explicitly listed here.
Formal recognition comes with clear identity, boundaries, leadership, and responsibility.
Players may remain independent as mercenaries, bounty hunters, outlaws, hermits, traders, explorers, or ordinary Settlers, provided they still follow territorial and conduct rules.
Settlements, territories, nations, companies, and factions become formally recognized through their dedicated website forms. Submitting a form does not guarantee approval.
A name alone does not establish a nation, company, or faction. Applications should identify members, leadership, purpose, home or operating area, and any relevant affiliations.
Territorial claims must be understandable, proportionate to their intended use, and disclosed around neighboring builds or claims. Do not use vague or oversized borders to lock other players out of the map.
Founders and leaders are expected to communicate rulings, correct repeated problems, and act as the primary contact for territory, diplomacy, and organization-wide disputes.
A singular artifact remains part of the living world; it cannot be hidden from the story when ownership becomes inconvenient.
A player who owns a one-of-one artifact must keep it in their active possession. It cannot be placed into an Ender Chest, vault, hidden cache, or other permanent storage method.
No player may personally hold more than one of the world-bound one-of-one artifacts at a time.
Artifacts may be traded, gifted, or sold. Any transfer should be genuine and must leave the new owner able to follow every artifact rule.
Deliberately destroying, despawning, concealing, or making an artifact permanently inaccessible is prohibited. Staff may reclaim or replace an artifact when necessary to preserve the world-bound set.
If an artifact is hidden, destroyed, lost through a technical issue, or removed by an inactive owner, staff may recover and return it to circulation. Recovery does not guarantee it returns to the same player.
Staff review evidence, context, intent, history, and harm—not only the narrow wording of one sentence.
Use screenshots, clips, coordinates, timestamps, and a clear account of what happened. Do not retaliate, tamper with the scene, or organize a public campaign around the report.
When staff pause a conflict, request logs, secure an area, or tell players to stop an action, comply first. The ruling can be discussed afterward without continuing the harm.
Conduct that clearly violates the purpose of a rule may be moderated even if the exact method was not named in advance. Ask before acting when the answer could materially affect another player.
Alternate accounts, proxy players, hidden transfers, false statements, or attempts to bypass a restriction may increase the consequence of the original violation.
Balance changes, new systems, and unexpected situations may require a published clarification. Major updates should be reflected on this page and announced to the community.
The Frontier runs on Fabric 1.20.1. Use the current Modrinth pack and any required additions announced by the team.
No. It is optional to connect, but strongly recommended because it supplies the intended names, item models, sounds, and visual identity.
No. Independent Settlers are a fully supported way to play. You can explore, trade, build, take contracts, or live as a hermit without joining a nation.
Roleplay is welcome, but scripted performance is not required. The focus is grounded player-made history built through exploration, politics, trade, conflict, and discovery.
Use the dedicated Forms tab. Each organization type has its own requirements and review process.
Only one exists in the live world. Its ownership, trades, losses, and recoveries become part of the server’s history.
